"A typical Argentinian barbecue restaurant with very friendly staff and a home-style menu heavy on meat. The beef is very good. The pork was a bit tough, but rich and flavorful. You can't go wrong here if you're hungry during the day and want reasonable prices."

"Oh, let me tell you about this incredible dining experience I had—the most unforgettable steak meal that graced my taste buds and left an indelible mark on my culinary journey. It was an otherworldly combination of flavors, an epicurean delight that transcended borders and expectations. Brace yourself for a tale of succulence and affordability that defies reason. Picture this: a tender, juicy steak, perfectly cooked to absolute perfection, nestled between two slices of bread—a monument to carnivorous pleasure known as the "Vacio sandwich." The meat, oh, the meat! It was a symphony of tenderness and flavor, an orchestra of culinary artistry that danced on my palate. And the sheer size of this creation! It was a titan of a sandwich, a monument to satiation. But that was not all. I yearned for more, and so I ventured into the realm of the "mini bife de chorizo." I requested it "juicioso," a term that encapsulates the very essence of medium doneness, and what arrived at my table was nothing short of divine. Each bite revealed the unmistakable mark of USDA prime steak—the tenderness, the flavor—without the exorbitant price tag. It was a revelation, a testament to the wonders that can be achieved when skill and affordability intertwine. And let us not forget the accompaniments that elevated this feast to celestial heights. A side of crisp, refreshing salad provided a burst of freshness amidst the meaty symphony. And to complement it all, a small bottle of Argentine wine, a nectar that transported me to the vineyards of Mendoza with each sip. The harmony of flavors was unparalleled, a dance of taste that bewitched my senses. Now, prepare yourself for the most astounding revelation of all—the cost. Can you believe that this entire gastronomic extravaganza, this feast fit for the gods, set me back a mere $11 USD? Yes, my friend, you heard it right. For a meal of such quality, such impeccable taste, and such generous portions, I added a paltry $1 as a tip, making it a grand total of $12 USD. Absurd, isn't it? Nowhere else on this vast planet can one find such an extraordinary bargain—a culinary masterpiece that combines affordability with unrivaled excellence. Imagine, if you will, a humble carry-out window, a sight that beckons passersby with the promise of gustatory bliss. A line of eager patrons, their taste buds salivating in anticipation, eagerly await their turn to experience this culinary marvel. And behind that window stands a chef, a maestro of steak, who orchestrates each dish with a speed and precision that borders on the supernatural. This culinary wizardry is complemented by a waiter whose swiftness and efficiency rival the speed of light itself. So, my dear friend, if ever you find yourself in Buenos Aires, I implore you not to miss this extraordinary establishment. Prepare yourself for a gastronomic adventure like no other, where the fusion of quality and affordability reaches unparalleled heights. It is a testament to the artistry of steak, the prowess of culinary mastery, and the sheer joy of finding a hidden gem amidst a sea of culinary options. This, my friends, is an experience that will forever be etched in the annals of my gastronomic memories."

"YES! I saw a lot of people there getting take-away and eating in. A quick check of Google reviews convinced me to give it a try. Some of the best food I've had in Argentina in the last 10 weeks. I had the mini chorizo steak. Good quality meat, cooked to perfection. Great garnish and fries. It's 36 celsius, but they have beer bottle insulators. The staff only speaks Spanish, but they're friendly and patient with my bad Spanish skills. Oh, and super reasonable prices!"

"Many of my reviews include comments on the restaurant “vibe” and branding. This spot has neither. What it has are casual and cheap asado items in a no-fuss, small corner neighborhood hole in the wall location. I got the vacío sandwich, which was tasty, but quite high in fat. I also got a chorizo which was also unusually high in fat lumps, with an average taste. If you need a quick and inexpensive scratch to your asado itch and you’re close by, it’s a decent option. If you’re looking for higher quality and/or more of an experience, keep searching."

"In a search for a non touristy period in Buenos Aires I first went to Parilla Peña and, whilst a decent meal, it was full of tourists. I broadened my search and found this place which really hit the nail on the head. Tucked away in residential area it is small and busy and great. The service was quick and friendly, the food gorgeous and big portions and the prices decent. I highly recommend for any tourists looking for something local feeling, even if us tourists going changes that. A bit of a catch 22."
